The Master of Arts Administrative Science (MAS) program is an interdisciplinary program designed for individuals seeking employment or advancement to leadership positions in public service organizations including federal, state and local government, non-profit agencies, law enforcement, and public or private colleges and universities.

A certificate in Workplace Conflict Resolution can be earned by successfully completing four courses in the MAS curriculum.

Two tracks are offered, the Communication Track is for students who wish to advance their knowledge of human communication focusing on theory in new media, intercultural and organizational contexts, as well as collaborative production work and project management.

Description:
A Certificate in International Business will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the following requirements. (five elective courses, minimum 12 credits, and from four areas of study)

These courses may be used simultaneously to satisfy the three courses of electives required for the Master of Business Administration. Students who already have obtained an MBA and who desire to obtain a Certificate in International Business may do so by completing the courses that are not part of their official transcripts. The certificate will be awarded upon completion of the requirements. Additional international business special topics courses can be designated as satisfying certificate requirements prior to the time the courses are offered.

The Master of Arts in Teaching - Adapted Physical Activity program is designed to provide opportunities for academic preparation and professional renewal for practicing educators and increases elementary and secondary teachers' knowledge and understanding of the learning process and their repertoire of teaching methods and skills.
This program is intended for individuals who have a current Michigan Teaching Certificate and an endorsement in Special Education or Physical Education Teacher Education. After program completion, individuals may assume any or all of the following roles: direct service provider (hands-on teaching); consultant for physical education and special education staff providing educational instruction for individuals with disabilities; Individual Education Plan (IEP) Committee member who helps develop the IEP in the psychomotor domain; in-service educator, providing training for people who will provide physical education instruction for individuals with disabilities; student and parent advocate; program coordinator who develops curricular materials, develops intra and inter-agency collaboratives to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities, and monitors progress on IEP’s.
This program meets all State of Michigan Physical Education for Students with Disabilities endorsement requirements. Further, completion of the program meets the Adapted Physical Education national standard requirements preparing candidates for the Adapted Physical Education National Standards (APENS) examination.

An Early Childhood (ZA endorsement)for teaching children ages birth to age eight is available for interested students who would like to add the "ZA" endorsement to their elementary teaching certificate. An Early Childhood Endorsement is increasingly becoming a requirement for employment in private and public school districts for kindergarten, first and second grades. Teachers of state funded four-year-old readiness programs in public schools must have an Early Childhood Endorsement. Description:
The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program is designed to prepare professionally qualified occupational therapists for a variety of roles including staff, management, research, and other leadership positions in occupational therapy to support intervention models for clients who are limited in their ability to perform developmentally appropriate tasks and roles.

ENTRY LEVEL MSOT PROGRAM
The professional program in occupational therapy provides students with the knowledge, techniques, and clinical reasoning skills necessary to assume entry-level positions as registered occupational therapists. The program requires three semesters of full time undergraduate academic course work and two years of full time graduate course work. This is followed by two full time internships of twelve weeks each. A minimum of 68 credit hours are required for the Entry Level MSOT program.

ADVANCED PRACTICE MSOT PROGRAM
The advanced practice program option is intended for therapists who hold a baccalaureate degree in occupational therapy and wish to advance their knowledge in program development, research, and a variety of leadership opportunities. A minimum of 34 credit hours are required for the Advanced Practice program.
